Joe went to his first Portland Beavers game at PGE Park this last Sunday. He didn't seem too overly impressed. In fact, he didn't watch the game at all and was asleep by the 5th inning.
There was a brief moment when Boomer (the mascot) came over to say hi to Joe. Gave Joe a hug and Joe was all excited... until Boomer left. Then Joe cried for a good minute. I think he wanted his new pal to stick around for a while.
He also got a little baseball bat and a baseball. Seems to like them quite a bit. (For now, I'm sure they'll become boring within a week. That seems to be the about the average lifespan for the average toy...)
From the prairie home companion joke show: Build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
Ok, the checkup on the 24th was with the nuturalpath. The good doctor.
The doctor ar providence, our insurance carrier, also wants to see him on a regular basis just so she can keep an eye on him and pressure of for unwanted imunizations. His checkup with HER was this last friday, the 8th of August.
Nothing all that stunning, some of them are basically rejects from older sessions. Still, people have been clamoring for pictures so I've added a few to the photo album.
To all of my friends who have contacted us with their well wishes and support over the past week I just want to say thank you. Please don't take my lack of a response as any indication that it's not appreciated. Indeed, hearing from friends and family has been one of the high ponts of my week. I'm just too busy to do anything about it.
